See the bizarre new promo for Shark Week

Take a swim with the sharks -- and mermaids -- in the first promo for this year's Shark Week, a popular week of shark-based TV programming.

The bizarre and colorful commercial takes the viewer on a first-person journey through the ocean, past sharks, mermaids, flaming hoops and even a circus ringmaster.

"It's all shark and awe," says the voiceover track at the end of the promo.

Discovery used the promo to reveal the dates of this year's Shark Week, which will begin on Sunday June 26th on the channel.
