Second person charged in death of North Carolina man

SILER CITY, N.C. -- After a murder suspect was found dead, a second person was arrested in the death of Esau Abraham Brenes, reports CBS affiliate WRAL.

Arnold Jaramillo Lopez, 16, was charged with first-degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon in Brenes' death. Lopez was reportedly indicted by a grand jury on Wednesday.

According to family members, Brenes was disappeared Oct. 3 after dropping off friends in his green Mini Cooper in Silar City. His body was later found near the edge of the woods just outside the city limit on Oct. 24.

Police say that the 16-year-old is a known accomplice of Francisco Rivas Galves-Huezo, 21, who was initially charged with the murder. Galves-Huezo was found dead after being reported missing the same day that Brenes' body was found late last month, according to the station.Francisco Rivas Galves-Huezo

The remains of the suspect were found on Friday while responding to a call of unidentified remains, reported CBS affiliate WRAL. Authorities reportedly revealed the identity as that of the suspect on Tuesday.

An autopsy performed on Galves-Huezo revealed that he died from multiple gunshot wounds.
