Second naked attacker confronted by Florida cops in a week

LAKE WORTH, Fla. - A 17-year-old Florida boy was arrested Saturday after police say he walked into a neighbor’s house in Lake Worth and stripped off his clothes before attacking another teenager, reports the Sun Sentinel.

The incident comes just days after deputies in South Florida fatally shot a naked man after he attacked a retired police officer and bit another man on the face in Delray Beach. Authorities said that in that incident the suspect, identified as 28-year-old Anesson Joseph, appeared to be “on some type of narcotic.”

In the most recent incident, deputies said the 17-year-old suspect appeared to be in the throes of “excited delirium,” according to the paper.

The teen allegedly fought with deputies while wielding a “large clock.” One deputy reportedly suffered a fractured arm in the melee.

When authorities released a dog in an effort to subdue the suspect, the teen allegedly punched the dog’s head and attempted to gouge the dog’s eyes out, the paper reports.

Officers eventually used a stun gun to subdue the teen and take him into custody. He reportedly faces charges of burglary, criminal mischief, resisting arrest with violence, four counts of battery on a law enforcement officer and one count of battery of a police dog.
