Defense secretary explains the fight with ISIS

Charlie Rose sits down with Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel to discuss the U.S.'s view towards Iran, Russia and fighting ISIS.

When asked if the international campaign against ISIS is indirectly helping Syria's Bashar al-Assad, Secretary Hagel said:

"He's indirectly benefiting. It's Assad who has produced this. There's not going to be a military solution in Syria. There's only can be a diplomatic solution... No one wants a failed completely failed government in Syria. How Assad leaves office is critically important."
