Burglar gets stuck in air duct, needs rescue
SEATTLE - A burglary suspect who cut through the drywall of a Seattle apartment building to try to escape got stuck in an air duct and had to be rescued by firefighters.
CBS affiliate KIRO reports that a resident of the complex caught the man Tuesday night stealing quarters from a soda machine in the laundry room.
The burglar then reportedly blocked the door and tried to get away by cutting through drywall. When he ran into a basement masonry wall, he tried to crawl out a vent but got trapped and had to call for help.
Burglar turned bungler.
Firefighters cut him free. When they asked if he needed medical attention, he said, "heroin."
