Search on for men who robbed store in NYC Diamond District

NEW YORK - Police are searching for suspects who robbed a store in Manhattan's famed Diamond District on Tuesday, reports CBS New York.

The robbery took place at 23 W. 47th St. at around 2:30 p.m. -- just off Fifth Avenue, where the annual Veterans Day Parade was taking place.

Police have swarmed the block in a search for the suspects and cordoned it off from pedestrians, reports the station.

Witnesses told CBS New York they saw at least two armed men run into the building. The men headed up to the eighth floor, where various types of jewelry are sold, a witness said.
