Sandusky accuser wants new charges filed

BELLEFONTE, Pa. -- A man who says Jerry Sandusky abused him as a child wants a court to force state prosecutors to file charges.

The Centre Daily Times reported that the man's lawyer filed an appeal Wednesday in Centre County court that names Attorney General Kathleen Kane and two of her senior deputies.

The appeal says Kane's office met with the man in April, after which state prosecutors determined the 1988 allegations were too old to be viable under the statute of limitations.

Sandusky's lawyer says the former Penn State assistant football coach denies the man's claims.

The man is now 43 years old and claims the sexual abuse occurred when he was a 16-year-old participant in a Sandusky-run football camp at Penn State.
