Police: Husband sought in Miami woman's murder

MIAMI -- Police are searching for the husband of a woman was murdered in front of her two children in a Miami Beach apartment, reports CBS Miami.

Just after 7 p.m. Monday, police say they received a call from security personnel, according to the station. Officials say that the children notified security that their mother was assaulted in their apartment.

Police have not identified the victim or said how she died. CBS Miami reports that records show that her husband, 36-year old Samir Jemaaoui, was arrested two times last year on battery charges.

In both cases, the victim reportedly filed a stay-away order against him.

Jemaaoui is expected to be charged with second degree murder once he is in custody, according to the station.
