Funeral set for teen victim pictured in suspect's 'selfie'

Alleged killer takes selfie with the victim's body

PITTSBURGH - A funeral was set for a 16-year-old boy found shot in his home, who police say was later pictured in a 'selfie' taken by the teen charged with killing him.

Ryan Mangan's funeral was scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Church in Jeannette. He was found fatally shot in his home about 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Police have since arrested 16-year-old Maxwell Morton, also of Jeannette and charged him with criminal homicide.

Police say they identified Morton through a 'selfie' he posted online - the picture showing himself next to Mangan's body, which police say they found in the same position and condition as in the picture.

The Jeannette School District delayed classed by two hours because of the funeral. Both boys attended classes in the district.

Morton faces a preliminary hearing Feb. 19.
