Ruby Rose to play new inmate on "Orange is the New Black"

Australian model, DJ and television personality Ruby Rose is joining the inmate ranks on season 3 of "Orange is the New Black."

The star announced the news via Facebook on Tuesday, along with a photo from the latest issue of Elle magazine.

Buzzfeed reports that Rose, 28, will play Stella Carlin, "an inmate at Litchfield Federal Correctional Institution whose sarcastic sense of humor and captivating looks quickly draw the attention of some of Litchfield's inmates."

The Elle article adds that the character will be a "lust object of both Piper and Alex."

Rose, who has described herself as "gender fluid," also starred in a video about gender identity called "Break Free," which has been viewed on YouTube more than 2 million times since it was released in July.
