"Rocky Horror Picture Show" remake in the works at Fox

Let's do the Time Warp (again) -- a new version of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" is in the works at Fox.

The network is developing a two-hour TV movie remake of the 1975 midnight movie cult classic, multiple reports said Friday.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kenny Ortega ("High School Musical") is set to direct and choreograph the project, which comes as the original movie celebrates its 40th anniversary this year.

The special will be filmed in advance and will not air live, unlike NBC's primetime musical events and Fox's upcoming "Grease" performance starring Vanessa Hudgens and Julianne Hough.

Deadline reports that the "Rocky Horror" TV remake is expected to stick faithfully to the text and the score of the original but will "greatly reimagine the story visually."

There's no word yet on casting, or when the special will air.
