Robin Wright calls off engagement to Ben Foster

Robin Wright has called off her 10-month engagement to actor Ben Foster, it was reported Wednesday.

The "House of Cards" star "got swept up in the engagement last Christmas, but then their schedules got crazy and she realized it wasn't the right decision," a source told Us Weekly of the split.

Wright was splitting her time between the "House of Cards" set in Baltimore and spending weekends in Los Angeles with her children, while Foster was in London for a production of "A Streetcar Named Desire," according to the magazine. Another source added that their 14-year age gap (she's 48, he's 34) "just ended up being too much."

Wright and Foster co-starred in the 2011 film "Rampart" and news of their engagement first surfaced in January. This would have been her third marriage -- she was previously married to Sean Penn (with whom she has son Hopper, 21, and daughter Dylan, 23) and Dane Witherspoon.
