Robert Downey Jr. tweets with boy who had a "rough day"
Robert Downey Jr. was a hero of sorts to a young boy, thanks to the powers of social media.
The "Avengers" star wrote to the fan after his mother reached out via Twitter and asked if he'd say hello, explaining that Aidan had a "rough day."
@RobertDowneyJr It would make my son Aidan's day if you could re tweet "hi." As you can see he has had a rough day. pic.twitter.com/eMuXlUhmVB

@RobertDowneyJr I was racing with my bro. I was slowing down and he pushed me into the house. Not on purpose. You are the best actor. Aid

The interaction came after news came Wednesday that Downey walked out of an interview after being asked questions about the darker periods in his past.
He and the rest of the "Avengers" stars have been out promoting their next film, "Avengers: Age of Ultron," which arrives in theaters May 1.
