Reese Witherspoon to reporters: End red carpet sexism, #AskHerMore

At the 87th Academy Awards, don't just ask about the dress -- ask about the woman wearing it.

That's a message social media users are sending to reporters on the red carpet this year.

Social media campaign #AskHerMore, created in February 2014 to fight sexism on the red carpet by inspiring reporters to ask more creative questions, is making a comeback this year thanks to "Wild" star Reese Witherspoon.

"This movement #AskHerMore..have you heard of it?" she asked fans on Instagram Sunday afternoon. "I love the Oscars AND fashion like many of you - & am excited to share #WhoAmIWearinglater tonight. But I'd also love to answer some of these Qs..."

The picture Witherspoon posted on Instagram, which has received nearly 17,000 likes, gave reporters some suggestions.

For example: "What's the biggest risk you've taken that you feel has paid off?" or "What accomplishment are you most proud of?"

"There are so many amazing, talented nominees this year," Witherspoon wrote. "Let's hear their stories!"

Within the past 24 hours, the hashtag has been tweeted nearly 10,000 times. And it's a top trending topic on Facebook.
