Recipe: Yemeni Coffee

Brewing instructions for a perfect cup of the classic coffee, from Port of Mokha.

   
Yemeni Coffee

Ingredients:

12 oz. fresh filtered water
3/4 oz. Port of Mokha Coffee

Equipment:

Pour over coffee brewer
Burr Grinder

Port of Mokha

Directions:

1. Bring brewing water to boil. Place paper filter in brewer and rinse with hot water.

2. Pour about 1 1/2 to 2 oz. of water in a spiral pattern, being careful to wet the entire surface of coffee. Wait 45 seconds.

3. Pour again in the same spiral pattern and watch the coffee burst with small bubbles. This is called the "bloom."

4. Pour slowly 3 more times in a spiral pattern, wetting the entire surface each time. Space out your pours to finish the brew in around three to three-and-a-half minutes. 

5. Pour and enjoy!
