Reality television star Apollo Nida reports to prison

LEXINGTON, Ky.--A star of the television show "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" reported to federal prison this morning, according to the Atlanta-Journal Constitution.

Apollo Nida was expected to report to a federal prison in Lexington, Ky. by noon Sept. 10, but was tweeting and using Instagram as recently as 3 a.m. Sept. 11.

Nida, who stars in two exercise videos with his wife and fellow "Housewives" cast member Phaedra Parks, was sentenced in July to eight years in prison for conspiracy to commit mail, wire and bank fraud.

A spokesperson Parks star confirmed to the Atlanta-Journal Constitution that there was an "incident" on Sept. 10 at the family's home, but did not say if it contributed to Nida's late arrival at prison.
