John Kasich has one of the longest resumes in the crowded GOP field - from Congress to big business to journalism to his current job as Ohio's governor.
He's pitched his breadth of experience as exactly what the U.S. needs in trying times, urging voters to select somebody who can "land the plane." But in this year of the outsider, Kasich has sometimes struggled to gain traction against some fresher faces and glitzier names.
Still, with his plainspoken style and deep knowledge of politics, Kasich has been making himself heard on the campaign trail, particularly in New Hampshire, where he's devoted most of his time and energy.
