"Property Brothers" star off the hook after bar argument

"Property Brothers" star Jonathan Scott is off the hook after getting into a bar fight in Fargo, North Dakota.

The HGTV personality, who is a contractor on the reality show, got into an altercation on April 24 at a bar called Dempsey's Public House, reports the Star Tribune. He was subsequently put in a headlock by the bar's bouncer and then kicked out. Scott got into an argument with other people at 2 a.m. just as the bar was closing.

According to a police report, Scott refused to leave the bar. A staffer told police that Scott said, "Do you know who I am?" when asked to hand over his drink.

The Fargo city attorney said on Tuesday that no charges will be filed in connection with the altercation.

"Upon review of the police report and associated evidence, I found there was not sufficient evidence to establish a violation of either simple assault or disorderly conduct ... beyond a reasonable doubt," City Attorney Erik Johnson said.

Scott and his twin brother, Drew, are the stars of HGTV's "Property Brothers" and were in Fargo to speak at the Eco Chic Design Conference on April 23.
