Priest's son charged with killing him, mother, and brother

HOUSTON - Police say the teenage son of an Episcopal priest has been charged with capital murder in the killings both his parents and his 5-year-old brother at their Houston apartment.

Isaac Tiharihondi was arrested about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday in Jackson, Mississippi. The 19-year-old remains jailed there pending extradition to Texas.

Police say 51-year-old Israel Ahimbisibwe, 47-year-old Dorcus Ahimbisibwe and 5-year-old Israel Ahimbisibwe, Jr. were found dead in their apartment Monday morning.

The elder Israel Ahimbisibwe served as Vicar at Houston's Church of the Redeemer.

Investigators say concerned congregants contacted authorities after the family failed to show up for church Sunday and couldn't be reached Monday.

Houston police spokesman Victor Senties declined to comment on a possible motive. The manner and cause of death have not been released, pending autopsies.
