Police: Florida man sought in pregnant woman's murder

MIMS, Fla. - Authorities in Brevard County continue to search for a man wanted on murder charges who deputies say should be considered armed and dangerous, according to CBS affiliate WKMG.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Quentin Woodruff, who's a suspect in the death of his pregnant girlfriend, Brandee Kelley, 24, who was shot and killed last month in Titusville, reports the station.

Deputies and a SWAT team were at a home near Marigold Avenue and Wiley Avenue just after 6 p.m. Tuesday looking for Woodruff, says the station. Several streets were blocked off, and tear gas was shot into the home, but reportedly no one was found inside.

According to WKMG, deputies had been watching the home for the past three nights in their search for Woodruff.

Earlier this month, Kelley's friend told the station that Kelley was trying to escape Woodruff, who had reportedly become abusive.

Woodruff's father, Sam Woodruff, told the CBS affiliate that he does not believe the allegations and said his son has not been at their home anytime recently.

"I don't believe it. My baby (didn't do) that," Sam Woodruff said. "If you knew him, you'd feel the same way I do."

Anyone with information is asked to call the Brevard County Sheriff's Office or Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS.
