Police: Texas mom found dead in home on Mother's Day

BAYTOWN, Texas -- Police are investigating after a Texas woman was found dead in her home on Mother's Day, reports CBS affiliate KHOU.

The victim, 50, was reportedly found dead in her home Sunday night after police were called to conduct a welfare check by her husband. The woman's husband was out of town at the time, and the couple's son was out of the country, according to the station.

Police have not yet identified the victim or a cause of death, but are asking for any witnesses to please come forward.

Investigators have said that they found no signs of forced entry at the apartment.
