Police search landfill in missing Fla. woman case

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police are searching a landfill for a missing Jacksonville woman who may have been murdered, reports CBS affiliate WJAX.

Brittany Foote, 22, was last seen on March 17 when she moved back in with her boyfriend, family members told the station. They suspect the boyfriend may know more about the disappearance.

He's currently in jail being held on a weapons charge, but is not facing any charges related to Foote's disappearance.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office began searching the Trail Ridge Landfill in Baldwin, Fla., Tuesday and continued that search Wednesday. WJAX showed footage of officials searching the landfill wearing bio-suits.

They're looking for evidence of Foote's disappearance and possible murder, officials told the station, but they didn't provide more information.
