Police officer shot in north St. Louis
ST. LOUIS -- An officer with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department was shot Sunday night in north St. Louis, CBS affiliate KMOV reports.
Police said that shooting happened around 9:45 p.m. in the 4300 block of College Avenue, in the city's Fairgrounds neighborhood.

Information remains limited at this time, but police confirmed an officer was shot and rushed to a St. Louis hospital.
The Chief of Police for the Metropolitan Police Department Sam Dotson tweeted that the officer suffered a gun shot wound to his shoulder.
Officer Involved Shooting. Officer suffered a gun shot wound to his shoulder. Being treated at the hospital. Suspect in custody. No injury.

Police on the scene told KMOV a suspect was taken into custody.
