Police investigate baby's death in Kansas City hotel

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Authorities are investigating the death of a 3-month-old boy Wednesday morning in a Kansas City hotel, reports CBS affiliate KCTV.

Police were called shortly before 5:30 a.m. to the Arrowhead Inn, where the baby was found unresponsive in a third floor room.

The baby was pronounced dead at the scene.

The parents say they woke up to find the boy unresponsive in his seat with blood on his nose, reports KCTV.

A cause of death is unknown at this time, police say.

The hotel owner says the family had been staying there for about two weeks.
