Police in missing Va. teen case search near suspect's home

LOVINGSTON, Va. - Law enforcement officials on Monday were searching near the home of a man suspected in last summer's disappearance of a Virginia teenager.

CBS affiliate WDBJ reports the search was focused on an area around the rural Nelson County home of 48-year-old Randy Allen Taylor.

Taylor is charged with in the abduction and murder of 17-year-old Alexis Murphy. Her body has never been found.

Murphy was last seen at a gas station in Lovingston on Aug. 3.

Taylor's trial is scheduled for May 1. He has denied killing Murphy.
