Police: Girl, 4, shots and kills 4-year-old boy

DETROIT – A 4-year-old  girl shot and killed a 4-year-old boy Thursday in a horrific accident, police said.

The two children, who were cousins, were playing in a home on the city’s west side when the girl found a gun, CBS station WWJ reported.

"They were playing in a room inside the home. The female found a long gun underneath the bed and pointed it at the male 4-year-old and pulled the trigger," Detroit police spokesman Adam Madera told the station.

There was no immediate word on whether any adult could face charges in the case.
