Police: Drunk driver was driving with only 3 wheels on car

GRAND ISLAND, N.Y. --Police in western New York say a man who had been drinking drove away from a fast-food restaurant with one of the wheels missing from his car.

Buffalo CBS affiliate WIVB-TV reports that Erie County sheriff's deputies say they responded to reports of a drunk driver trying to leave a restaurant in the town of Grand Island around 2:45 a.m. Sunday.

When deputies arrived, they noticed the car's rear passenger-side wheel was missing. Scrape marks were left on the pavement throughout the restaurant's parking lot and ended where the vehicle came to a stop.

The driver was identified as Buffalo resident Jamie Kraft, according to the station.

Deputies say the 30-year-old had a blood-alcohol content twice the legal limit of .08. He was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated.
