Cops: Colo. bus driver arrested in Internet sex crimes case

WESTMINISTER, Colo. -- Police have arrested a bus driver who works for the Westminster Public Schools in Colorado, reports CBS Denver.

Police arrested 66-year-old Phillip Ogren on Tuesday for alleged Internet sex crimes, according to the station. School officials say that there hasn't been any indications any of their students were victimized.

"The safety of our students is our highest priority and we take these allegations very seriously. We are fully cooperating with investigators," district officials said in a prepared statement, according to CBS Denver.

The district has reportedly fired Ogren. However, they say he "passed all required background and safety checks" when he was first hired 15 months ago.

Officials are working to contact the families of students who were driven around by the suspect to notify them of the ongoing case, according to the station.
