Cops: Woman charged in fatal mobile home robbery attempt
FORT PIERCE, Fla. -- Police say a Florida woman wanted in connection with a shooting and robbery at a mobile home has turned herself in, reports CBS affiliate WPEC.
Deputies say Logan Nicole Fulford, 20, reported to the St. Lucie County Jail Monday evening. Two other suspects have been arrested and charged in the same fatal robbery attempt, according to the station.
Fulford was charged with second-degree felony murder, robbery with a deadly weapon and giving false information to law enforcement.
The two other suspects, 29-year-old Phillip Gray and 32-year-old Kerry Billy Philyaw, are facing charges of second-degree murder, robbery with a deadly weapon and battery.
Police say the two men -- along with one other -- stormed a home at Cypress Bay Mobile Home Park last week in a robbery attempt. One of the three victims at the home opened fire at the alleged attackers, killing one at the scene, reported WPEC.
The third man who died was later identified as Chase Harrington Orvis, according to the station.
Gray was also reportedly shot during the incident. He was taken to a nearby hospital and arrested after treatment.
Authorities say Fulford drove the three suspects to the mobile home park and took Gray to the hospital for treatment, according to WPEC.
"While this arrest puts all the suspects involved in this robbery in jail, our detectives continue to investigate all aspects of this event," Sheriff Mascara said, according to the station.
The robbery victim who shot the suspects will reportedly not be facing any charges in the shooting.
