PHILADELPHIA - Two students were shot at Delaware Valley Charter School in the Logan section of Philadelphia Friday afternoon by another student who authorities are actively pursuing, a spokesman for the Philadelphia Police Department says.

The incident was reported at about 3:30 p.m.

CBS Philly reports that a male and a female, both believed to be age 15, were transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. Both reportedly have bullet wounds but are in stable condition.

Police say it is unclear if the student discharged the gun accidentally or intentionally. The gunman fled the school and police are asking him to turn himself in.

"SHOOTER - Turn yourself in. Get it over with now," the Philadelphia Police Dept. said via Twitter.

Police have seen surveillance video from inside the school and believe they know who the gunman is, reports CBS Philly.

The school has been placed on lockdown, but police say it is no longer an active shooting situation.
