Cops: 12-year-old Massachusetts boy pulled knife on teacher

LOWELL, Mass. -- Police say a 12-year-old boy pulled a knife on his teacher at an alternative school, reports CBS Boston.

Police say the incident happened Wednesday at the Cardinal O'Connell School in Lowell after the other students had left for early dismissal. The student reportedly fled after pulling the knife.

Police say there was no struggle between the boy and the teacher. No one was injured.

The boy was later arrested near the school shortly after noon, according to the station. He has been charged with assault with a dangerous weapon.

The boy, who was not identified because of his age, was then taken to Lowell Juvenile Court, according to CBS Boston.
