Deadly plane crash near South Florida airport

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- A small, twin-engine plane crashed in a wooded area in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on Sunday.

According to the FAA, the Piper PA-31 aircraft was flying inbound to Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport, CBS Miami reports.

A pilot who works at the airport said the plane lost power and went down near the runway around 4:30 p.m.

The Miami Herald reports four people were killed in the crash. Officials have not yet identified the victims.
