Pa. Murder Mystery: Mother of 4 shot dead in car

PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- Police are trying to figure out who killed a woman found dead in her car in western Pennsylvania, who was initially thought to be an accident victim.

Police say they were called around 8:30 a.m. Saturday for a crash on Route 40 in Hopewood, in Fayette County, after the car had been discovered by PennDOT snow plow operators. However, according to CBS Pittsburgh, they then realized a woman was inside.

She was later identified as Mya Ann Grady, of Uniontown, Pa., a 36-year-old mother of four, and police say she had been shot to death. They labelled the case a criminal homicide, the station reported.

The highway was closed for several hours while police looked for possible evidence.

The victim's aunt, Tamara Grady, said her niece may have been driving to work when she was found in her parked car.

"My niece was one of the most loving, friendly people you could ever meet; she didn't smoke, drink, or do drugs," she told CBS Pittsburgh. "She was a straight-laced person."

Fayette County Crime Stoppers is also offering a $1,000 reward in the case. Call 724-437-8477 or 888-404-TIPS if you can help investigators.
