Paul Reubens to reprise Batman character on "Gotham"

He might be best known for playing Pee-wee Herman, but wWe always knew Paul Reubens had a sinister streak, didn't we?

The "Pee-wee's Playhouse" star will play the father of Batman's nemesis, the Penguin, on Fox's "Gotham."

Reubens will play dad to actor Robin Lord Taylor's Penguin, but there's a cool twist: This isn't the first time Reubens has stepped into Gotham as the Penguin's father. Taylor is very excited: He tweeted a poster of himself with Reubens and wrote, "Big news: Paul Reubens will be playing Penguin's father in @Gotham. Unreal. I have the best tv parents. Legends."

Reubens also played the role in 1992's "Batman Returns," so it's safe to say he knows what he's doing.
