One Million Moms: New "Muppets" show is "perverted"

Not everyone is happy the Muppets are back on TV.

Members of the conservative group One Million Moms aired their grievances on their website about the new "Muppets" show on ABC.

Since the primetime reboot is "sort of an adult Muppet show," the group is very unhappy that parents may accidentally allow their kids to watch it without knowing it contains adult content.

"Many parents unknowingly will let their children watch an episode only to find out its perverted nature too late," One Million Moms wrote on its website. The organization also pointed out that Miss Piggy "came out" as a pro-choice feminist in an interview.

The group reminisced about the 1970s and 1980s, when the Muppets did not weigh in on "interspecies relationships and promiscuity."

One Million Moms even went on to say that ABC "ruined" the show.

"ABC hopes children watch the show and predict they would enjoy some of the humor, but 1MM would disagree," said the post. "It is not the show it once was. ABC has ruined 'The Muppets.' How many parents want to explain the punchline of sexually charged jokes to young children?"

The group urged parents to complain to ABC about the show.

Do you think the new "Muppets" show is "perverted"?
