Ohio man allegedly poured gas on wife, child

SANDUSKY, Ohio - A northern Ohio man has been indicted on attempted murder and other charges after police say he dumped gasoline on his wife and her 8-year-old granddaughter and threatened to set them on fire.

Kevin Bruster, 44, was indicted by an Erie County grand jury Wednesday. Bruster's wife told police that her husband became angry and chased her and her granddaughter onto a porch and poured gasoline on them on March 27. She said he ran away as they tried to call police. He was arrested two days later.

Bruster is charged with two felony counts of attempted murder as well single misdemeanor counts of domestic violence and child endangering.

The Sandusky Register reports that during court hearings Bruster denied pouring the gas.
