"Nurse Jackie" renewed for seventh season

Nurse Jackie hasn't even started her shift for season 6, but she will be on call again for a seventh season, Showtime has announced.

The Edie Falco-led dramedy was up 14 percent in season 5, bringing in 3.13 million total weekly viewers. In addition, Merritt Wever, who plays Jackie's lovable-but-oddball co-nurse, Zoey, received an Emmy for supporting actress in a comedy for her role.

The upcoming sixth season, which premieres on April 13, will follow Falco's Jackie as she falls back into old habits and battles her addiction once again after being clean for most of the previous season.

Filming of the seventh season will take place later this year in New York City.

Tell us, are you glad that "Nurse Jackie" has been picked up for an additional season?
