Nick Cannon confirms he's living apart from Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon's marriage appears to be on the rocks.

Amid a flurry of split reports, Cannon has confirmed that he and his wife of six years are living apart.

"There is trouble in paradise," Cannon, 33, told The Insider With Yahoo on Thursday. "We have been living in separate houses for a few months."

"My main focus is my kids," he added about the couple's 3-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe.

Carey, 44, hasn't said anything yet about the status of their relationship, though her publicist said, "I am not commenting on Mariah's personal life, but Mariah is focusing on her children and her upcoming tour."

Carey and Cannon haven't been shy about their relationship over the years. They post plenty of family photos on social media and annually renew their wedding vows -- though there were no signs of a vow renewal this year.

Carey met the "America's Got Talent" host while shooting her video for the single "Bye Bye." They wed on April 30, 2008, in the Bahamas.
