New Jersey police: Woman told child to steal dropped phone
SADDLE BROOK, N.J. -- Police say a woman who spotted a dropped cell phone on the floor of a New Jersey restaurant told her child to pick it up and leave, reports CBS New York.
Surveillance cameras captured the moment on Sunday when the woman directed the child, estimated to be between 11 and 13 years old, to grab the lost phone.
He cast a nervous glance over his shoulder as he carried it to the woman waiting outside the front door of Hibachi Grill in Saddle Brook, N.J.
Police are still trying to identify the woman and child. No arrests have been made.
