Netflix titles are now available for download

Netflix is now offering offline streaming

Netflix users can finally watch shows and movies offline.

The streaming giant has followed in the footsteps of Amazon Prime and YouTube Red in allowing viewers to download content to watch offline -- though that currently only applies to Netflix originals.

Netflix announced on Wednesday on Twitter: “Airplane mode. Road trip mode. Stuck-in-the-subway-for-20-minutes mode. Your favorite stories are now available for download any time.”

The new feature is included in all plans and available for Android and iOS phones and tablets; users just need to update their apps.

Some of the titles that are already available offline include “Orange is the New Black,” “Narcos” and “The Crown.” It looks like people are going to need more storage on their phones.
