7-year-old accidentally shot at La. elementary school, deputies say

MOSS BLUFF, La. -- A seven-year-old was shot Monday in an accidental gunfire incident at a southwest Louisiana elementary school, deputies say.

The incident was reported at Moss Bluff Elementary School in Moss Bluff. The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office tells CBS News the child was transported to a hospital. The extent of the child's injuries aren't known.

It's not clear who brought the gun into the classroom, officials say. Deputies say the incident was isolated to one classroom and no other children are in danger, reports CBS affiliate KFLY.
