Mom posts bond in case of husband, son found dead in Arkansas

YELL COUNTY, Ark. - An Arkansas woman considered a "possible suspect" in the death of her husband and 10-month-old son bonded out of jail on Wednesday, reports CBS affiliate KTHV.

Twenty one-year-old Brooke Sueann Floyd was arrested Sunday, two days after being found wandering alone on a remote road in Yell County. The Greenwood, Ark., woman had previouly been traveling in a truck with her husband and infant son, but she was alone when police found her, according to the station. The wife and mother was charged with felony endangering the welfare of a minor and hindering apprehension or prosecution.

Further details surrounding her arrest were not immediately available.

Brian Allen Floyd, 33, and the baby, Harper, were last seen alive Friday morning, July 25. Their bodies were discovered Tuesday in a wooded area 80 miles west of Little Rock, four days after police began searching for them.

Brooke Floyd did not initially cooperate with the search effort, but later led authorities to the family's truck, which was off the road. The bodies of Brian and Harper were found in the mountainous terrain about an hour after the truck was located.

Authorities said Brooke Floyd is considered a "possible suspect" in the case, according to the station. Investigators were meeting with county prosecutors to go over the case.

The bodies were taken to the state crime lab for autopsies. Gilkey did not say whether their deaths were homicide or accidental.

Brooke Floyd is due in court next week.
