Mom found fatally stabbed in NYC park; ex arrested

NEW YORK -- Police have arrested a 25-year-old man in the fatal stabbing of a young mother in Bronx River Park.

Jasmine Gonzalez was found just before 6 a.m. on Sunday in a park along the Bronx River Parkway in the Wakefield section, several blocks from her home, according to CBS New York.

Police say the 22-year-old woman had been stabbed several times in the torso. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Khiry Borden was arrested late Sunday on charges of murder, manslaughter, and criminal possession of a weapon.

CBS New York reports that that Borden was Gonzalez's ex-boyfriend and the father of her 2-year-old son.

It wasn't clear if he had an attorney who could comment on the charges.
