Missouri certifies Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton as primary winners

How Trump is tapping into GOP delegate system complaints

Nearly a month after the Missouri primary on March 15, the state has finally certified Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton as the winners of their respective primaries.

Jason Kander, the Missouri secretary of state, tweeted Tuesday morning to announce the news:

The final margins, according to the certified results, were incredibly close. Trump, the GOP front-runner, won his primary by just 1,965 votes out of a total 939,270 cast, barely edging out Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. Clinton's margin was even tighter: she won by just 1,574 votes out of the total 629,425 votes cast in the Democratic primary.

In the delegate race, Trump picked up 25 in Missouri and Cruz picked up 15; on the Democratic side, Clinton won 46 delegates out of the state, compared with 34 for Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.
