Missing mom found dead in car with kids unharmed in backseat

FRISCO, Texas --A suburban Dallas mother who had been missing with her children for three days was found dead in her car late last week with the three children alive beside her.

Frisco police spokesman Colby Hill says detectives are trying to determine how long the children had been in the SUV with the body of Christine Thi Woo before being discovered in a Target department store parking lot in the Dallas suburb of McKinney on Thursday.

Christine Woo had been last seen driving the Honda Pilot, according to police.

Hill said Friday that surveillance footage is being reviewed to establish a timeline of events. Investigators released surveillance video from a Frisco Walgreens that shows Christine Woo and her children inside the store Monday morning.

Authorities have said the children - ages 1, 3 and 5 - were examined at a hospital but appeared to be well.

Hill says no suspects are being sought. Before the discovery, police had said there was no evidence of foul play.

Woo's husband Brandon Woo reported Tuesday that his wife and children had been missing since Monday morning. He said he came home from work that day to an empty house, according to CBS affiliate KHOU. He believed he needed to wait 24 hours until he filed the report, according to the station.

Before the discovery, Brandon Woo told CBS DFW there were no family problems and he couldn't think of anything that would have prompted her to leave.

"She's a loving mother, a great wife. She's the most stable person you could ever meet," Brandon Woo said.

The mother's cause of death will be determined by a Collin County medical examiner.
