Miranda Lambert gets teary in concert before Blake Shelton divorce announcement

Miranda Lambert got emotional in concert just days before announcing her divorce from Blake Shelton, and a clip of the teary performance is now making the rounds.

The singer was captured on video breaking down during the Cheyenne Frontier Days concert in Wyoming. "The last thing someone wants to do is cry in front of 19,000 people," she told the audience before singing her ballad, "The House That Built Me."

Lambert's hit song was originally written with the intention of Shelton to put on his album. But according to People, Lambert, who felt a powerful connection to the track, decided to record it instead.

"I took one look at her and just said, 'If you have this strong of a reaction to a song, you need to record it!'" Shelton told told People in 2011.

Lambert and Shelton released a joint statement Monday announcing their split after four years of marriage, saying, "This is not the future we envisioned. And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter."

The power couple were together a while before getting married. They met in 2005 and exchanged vows in May 2011 in Texas.

The rumors continue to swirl, meanwhile, with a new TMZ report that speculates Shelton believed Lambert had been cheating on him, so he filed for divorce.
