Miley Cyrus gets tattoo of her dog Floyd

Miley Cyrus continues to mourn the loss of her dog Floyd -- and her latest effort to remember the pooch involves a tattoo.

The 21-year-old singer posted a series of pictures showing off her new ink featuring a sketch of the dog along with the phrase: "With a little help from my fwends."

Cyrus wasn't joking about getting some help from her friends. The tattoo was reportedly done at a house party in Los Angeles over the weekend, according to a tweet from Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne -- who apparently received a matching tattoo of Floyd, an Alaskan Klee Kai. Coyne tweeted: "Yep!!! Family Floyd Tat!!! I Get By With A Little Help From My Fwends!!!"

The "Wrecking Ball" singer mentioned her dog's passing during Sunday's NBC documentary about her recent tour. "I think if I really [accept that he's dead], he might actually go at some point, which I don't really want," Cyrus said. "I have to not make myself sick over it because that's what I did at first. I loved him so much. I really shut down more than I've ever let myself. You can try to move on, your shell can continue [to go] on stage every night, but internally I wasn't [there]."

When Floyd died in April, Cyrus wrote: "I know I don't mean it but I wish he would have taken me with him. This is unbearable. What am I gonna do without him?"

Cyrus has a couple of other dogs and recently acquired a new one to add to the mix:
