Miami police release video in hopes of catching teen's killer

MIAMI, Fla. - Authorities in Miami, Fla. believe hospital security footage could hold the key to finding the killer of a 16-year-old boy, reports CBS Miami.

"We don't know if they are involved or just trying to render aid. But we need to know what they know about the shooting," said Miami Police Chief Rodolfo Llanes.

Richard Hallman was shot in Allapatah on Tuesday at around 6 p.m. Minutes later, two men, one in white and another in a black hoodie, were captured on camera dragging Hallman into the hospital, according to the station.

Just a couple of hours after that shooting, gunfire could be heard in nearby Overtown.

This time, 10-year-old Marlon Merv Eason was fatally shot in the head while playing basketball.

Both murders remain unsolved, but despite the proximity between the shootings, police say they are not connected.

Anyone with information on the shootings is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-271-TIPS.
