Melissa Rivers to join "Fashion Police" co-hosts for Joan Rivers tribute

Melissa Rivers will take part when E! celebrates her mother, the late comedian and "Fashion Police" host Joan Rivers, with a TV special and all-day marathon this Friday.

"Joan Day" will begin with a "Fashion Police" marathon, the network said Wednesday, featuring back-to-back episodes including Rivers' 80th birthday celebration and the final episode she taped before her death on Sept. 4 at the age of 81.

It will end with a 90-minute tribute special, "Fashion Police: Celebrating Joan," that will include personal stories from Melissa Rivers and co-hosts Guiliana Rancic, Kelly Osbourne and George Kotsiopoulos.

The special will also feature behind-the-scenes footage and never-before-aired moments of Rivers joking with the cast and studio audience, along with outtakes and clips featuring celebrity guests.

The "Fashion Police" marathon will air this Friday, Sept. 19, from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. ET. The "Celebrating Joan" special will then begin at 8 p.m. ET.
