Massachusetts woman accused of stabbing, killing other woman

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- A Massachusetts woman has been accused of stabbing another woman to death on Saturday morning., reports CBS affiliate WSHM.

Christen Longley, 31, of West Springfield, Mass., pleaded not guilty Monday to charges that include murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Prosecutors say a domestic dispute ended when Longley stabbed and killed 30-year-old Jennifer Best.

The Republican newspaper reports that Longley previously dated the man who was dating Best.

Best was transported to Baystate Medical Center following the stabbing where she was pronounced dead.

Longley is being held without bail.

She is due back in court on January 6.
